A Certain Young Man (1928) -- Lost Silent ?
18 July 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

A Certain Young Man was based on the story "Bellamy the Magnificent," by Roy Horniman. This comedy/romance film was produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1926, but held back due to the death of actor, Willard Louis, who was prominently featured in the cast. Sadly it now remains a lost silent and all I can offer the reader is this brief synopsis.

Lord Gerald Brinsley ( Ramon Novarro )a carefree young bachelor, Lord Gerald enjoys the company of married women, which makes him exceedingly unpopular with married men. After dallying with such women of the world as Henrietta (Renee Adoree) and Mrs. Crutchley (Carmel Myers), Gerald falls genuinely in love for the first time with the unattached and the decidedly unworldly, Phyllis (Marceline Day).
