Tom Roberts ( Richard Dix ), an ex-officer of the Tank Corps, has become a drifter. He finds work, however, at the Stoddard Machinery Co., after rescuing Alice Stoddard ( Mary Brian ) at a train crossing, and becomes reacquainted with Ptomaine ( Oscar Smith ), formerly a cook in Tom's regiment. While pursuing a courtship with Alice, Tom discovers that the tractors manufactured by the company are malfunctioning as a result of the plotting of the manager, Randall Lewis ( Philip Strange ), thereby threatening Stoddard with bankruptcy. Tom's knowledge of tanks enables him to perfect the tractor, and during a flood that threatens the village dam, he and Ptomaine use the tractor to save the town from disaster, Tom wins the girl.
This 1927 silent drama was produced by Paramount Famous Lasky Corporation, starring Richard Dix and Mary Brian. The survival of this film is listed as unknown, sadly suggesting it may now be a lost silent.
