Queen Helen of Troy ( María Corda ), piqued by her husband's lack of interest in her, elopes with Paris ( Ricardo Cortez ) to Sparta. Menelaus ( Lewis Stone ), her husband, egged on by his henchman, starts a war with Paris, finally effecting the return of Helen. The time-honored custom demands that he have the pleasure of killing her, but her seductive loveliness restrains him. 31 July 2002 | by (Putney, VT) – See all my reviews

This early Alexander Korda effort is almost a lost film. Two lengthy fragments do exist within the British Film Institute archives. These total approximately 29.5 minutes, a third of the film's length. The start of the film (727 feet) and the end of the film (1757 feet)are in existence and being preserved - unavailable for public viewing.
