Stan Laurel - The Screenplay Writer
30 October 2001 | by (London, England) – See all my reviews

In 1923 when Stan Laurel began writing his own screenplays, Hal Roach was producing Harold Lloyd's feature films such as 'A Sailor Made Man' and 'Doctor Jack', working on the precursor to 'The Little Rascals' titled 'Our Gang', and started teaming Stan Laurel up with Oliver Hardy. Just what did Stan Laurel's writing contribute to Laurel and Hardy's success in the silent short, 'You're Darn Tootin'?
