Routine silent.
28 October 2015 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

This production line piece is a combination of crook action, romance, boy & dog pathos and city politics melodrama none of which reach above mediocre.

Walker, star of Capra's Matinée IDOL, and Francisco are presentable enough leads and career editor Hunt puts it together efficiently but the film drags.

Finding an odd imaginative touch - the kids gang jeering the pool hall toughs or the cut back to the un-eaten chocolate cake after the cops have interrupted the party - jars with the routine nature of the rest.

It's not encouraging that this one survives, even if only with foreign version inter-titles while so many notable movies are lost.
