Lost Silent
22 July 2016 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Henry Wilson ( Marcin Asher ), a wealthy grocer who started with a pushcart and worked his way up to 40 trucks, although married becomes interested in Mona Vincent ( Hedda Hopper ), a divorcée. Mona also is trying to win Frank Clayton ( Jack Mulhall ), wealthy scion with whom Wilson's daughter, Mary ( Helene Chadwick ), is in love. Mona promises Mary to give up Mr. Wilson if Mary will give her Clayton. Mary agrees, but distressed by the loss she then tries to drown herself. Wilson learns that Mona has made a fool of him and returns to his wife. Mary is rescued and marries Clayton.

This 1926 silent romance/drama was produce by Tiffany Productions, starring Helene Chadwick, Hedda Hopper and Jack Mulhall. Tragically, Pleasures of the Rich is now a lost silent film with only the trailer surviving.
