A Jewel Production. Universal, which did not own its own theater network like many major studios, devised a 3-tier brand system to sell its product: Red Feather (low budget programmers), Bluebird (mainstream) and Jewel (prestige pictures produced to command higher roadshow ticket prices). This brand system would fade away in late 1929.
