The Galloping Cowboy (1926) - Lost Silent ?
17 July 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Bill Crane ( Bill Cody ) a happy-go-lucky, cowboy, works on his Uncle Pete's ( Alex Hart ) ranch, and is the target of his cousin Jack's ( Edmund Cobb ) jealousy, over the lovely Mary Pinkleby ( Florence Ulrich ). When Bill becomes falsely accused of being a notorious bandit, he must now prove his innocence, however, unknown to him, Jack is actually the masked bandit whose gang has been terrorizing the local community. Jack knows he is second in line to inherit his uncle's ranch, so he plants a suspicion with the sheriff ( Richard Cummings ) that Bill is the bandit leader, after he, Jack, has committed a bank robbery. Bill escapes and eventually unmasks his cousin as the real thief, and clearly wins the affections of Mary.

This 1926 silent western/drama was produced by Western Star Productions, starring Bill Cody. Sadly it may now be a lost silent film.
