This 1925 silent drama was produced by Warner Brothers Pictures and had a cast of popular films stars of the day. Sadly, it may now be a lost silent film and all I can offer the reader is this brief synopsis.
Sitting in his own living-room, Gene Cassenas ( Gayne Whitman ) is fatally shot by an unknown assailant. Tad Workman ( Clive Brook ), the former police commissioner, is called in on the case, and six persons are placed under suspicion: Joan Wiswell, a beautiful socialite; Tommy Wiswell ( Don Alvarado ) , her brother, Terry ( Frank Leigh ), a former business associate of the murdered man, Helen Ripley (June Marlowe ) , the fiancée of the murdered man; her father, General Ripley ( Winter Hall ), and a valet. With precise deduction, Tad finally proves that the valet killed Cassenas by rigging up a clock to fire a gun at a given time.
