Disney-owned Hollywood movie palace The El Capitan Theatre has scheduled a one-time-only screening on April 8th of a restored print of the 1924 silent movie Peter Pan, accompanied by a Wurlitzer organ. In a news release, Lylle Breier, Disney's VP of worldwide special events, said that the public screening will also include "a birthday celebration for Walt Disney" that includes screenings of two animated shorts produced in 1922, Little Red Riding Hood and Puss in Boots, along with family home movies. The news release said that the original print was purchased by Disney in 1938 when it began developing the animated version of the James M. Barrie tale, finally released in 1953. »
