A soldier introduces himself to the Peterson family, claiming to be a friend of their son who died in action. After the young man is welcomed into their home, a series of accidental deaths seem to be connected to his presence.
Because he refuses to advertise the automobiles he manufactures, John Kent's ( Theodore Roberts ) business is failing. In an effort to gain some publicity, his daughter, Virginia ( Agnes Ayres ), has a racing car built while Kent is away. Kent's rival sends his son, Roddy Smith ( Richard Dix ), to spy on the operations and bribes another worker to drive the car and throw the race. Virginia discovers the plot, cannot persuade Roddy to break his promise to drive his father's car, and enters the race herself. She drives to a thrilling victory and marries Roddy.
This comedy/romance was produced by Famous Players-Lasky Corporation and released by Paramount Pictures, it starred Agnes Ayres and Richard Dix. Sadly, this film now remains lost.
