A Tragic Loss

Captain Leyton ( Tyrone Power Sr. ) treats his son, Boy ( Richard Barthelmess ), harshly to eliminate every weakness, but he is so overjoyed at Boy's courageous defence of the character of his sweetheart, Minnie ( Dorothy Gish ), that he has a heart attack. Before he dies, Leyton charges Boy with avenging his mother's desertion of his father for another man. Boy finds his mother ( Jessie Arnold ), discovers the other man to be Leyton's first mate, Morgan ( Pat Hartigan ); hurls Morgan overboard, and returns to marry Minnie.

This 1923 silent drama was produced by Inspiration Pictures, Incorporated, starring Richard Barthelmess, Dorothy Gish and Tyrone Power Sr. Filming was on locations were at the Biograph Studio, Manhattan, New York City. Tragically, Fury remains a lost silent film.
