On the High Seas (1922) -- Lost Silent ?
9 July 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

After being forced to abandon a burning ship, Leone Deveraux ( Dorothy Dalton ), Jim Dorn ( Jack Holt ), and Joe Polack ( Mitchell Lewis ) drift for three days before finding and boarding a plague-ravaged derelict. When Joe attacks Leone, Jim comes to her aid and she declares her love for him. After they are rescued by a battleship, Leone abandons Jim for her wealthy family and fiancé, Harold Van Allen ( Michael Dark ). Just as Leone and Harold are about to be married Jim abducts her and reveals himself to be a wealthy son of a prominent family.

This 1922 silent drama was produced by Irvin V. Willat Productions and distributed through Paramount Pictures. The film starred Dorothy Dalton, Jack Holt, Mitchell Lewis, Winter Hall and a young William Boyd. Sadly, this film may now be a lost silent.
