Mr. Potter of Texas (1922) - Lost Silent ?
14 September 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Arriving in Texas with only a few dollars, Sam Potter ( Maclyn Arbuckle ) puts his youth and determination to good use, works hard, and eventually becomes an oil millionaire. Potter accepts an invitation from boyhood friends to visit England, whence he continues his journey to Egypt in the company of his daughter, Ida ( Louiszita Valentine ). There a deathbed confession by Lord Annerly clears Potter of a crime for which he has been sought, and Lady Annerly ( Corinne Uzzell ) ends Potter's life as a widower. (Reviews mention a revolution in Egypt, but they are too vague to determine Potter's relation to it.)

This 1922 silent drama starring Maclyn Arbuckle, was produced by San Antonio Pictures. Sadly it now remains on the list of lost silent films.
