The Girl in His Room (1922) - Lost Film
24 January 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Myra Pendleton ( Alice Calhoun ) returns from college, to a new home purchased by her father, a man she has never seen. Finding he has been called away, she takes over the management of the house. The estate's former owner, Kirk Waring ( Warner Baxter ) returns from Europe, unaware that his home has been sold, he finds it occupied by Myra. Needing money, Kirk discovers that Paul Duprez, ( Robert Anderson ) who holds the power of attorney, has sold the estate and disappeared. When Kirk enters the house to obtain some hidden bonds, Myra recognizes him but allows his escape. Kirk follows her as she goes to her father's secretary and discovers him to be Duprez, the man who robbed Kirk, and her own father. After explanations, Kirk forgives Duprez and Myra accepts Kirk's marriage proposal.

This melodrama produced by the Vitagraph Company of America, sadly now remains a lost silent film.
