3 Sneak Peeks – Bones 5.10 "The Goop on the Girl"

9 December 2009 7:58 PM, PST | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Those ladies out there who…ahem…admire David Boreanaz, are going to Love the December 10th Christmas episode of Bones, where Booth is forced to strip down to his boxers.  Why?  Who the hell Cares?!  Pick any reason.  The writers can say it's because of the ozone layer and it won't make a lick of a difference to me.

Oh yeah, and Zooey Deschanel and Ryan O'Neal are both making guest appearances.  Love them both.  But then I get distracted by the first sneak peek below.  Check out all three (courtesy of Fox) and then go view the promo and photos we previously posted.

I'm currently watching this episode (which won't be airing in the Us until December 3rd – suckers!) and I can tell you that the sneak peek that Fox has released, which is posted below, features the single most disgusting body I have ever had the displeasure of seeing on this show.  So….enjoy!

I love Bones' Christmas episodes, because they're always so cute and sweet and usually funny. And they warm my little Scrouge heart with the joy of the holiday season. Fox has released photos and a synopsis of the December 10th episodes of Bones (it will then be on holiday hiatus until January 14th).  The Christmas episode marks the return of Ryan ONeal as Brennan's father and the appearance of Zooey Deschanel (Emily Deschanel's sister).

Also, check out the photos, promo and behind-the-scenes photos from the December 3rd episode.

A few days ago I posted promo photos for the December 3rd episode of Bones (next week will be pre-empted) and now we have a promo video for you.  It's a gamer-centric episode (and an Avatar-centric episode in a brilliant cross-promotion move by Fox because they really want to recoup the $300 million they spent on making the James Cameron picture).

Oh my God, how much do I love Bones? Answer: A Lot.  If you've been watching trailers for Avatar, you will have noticed Joel David Moore, who has played intern Colin Fisher on several episodes of Bones.  Well, Moore is back and there's a big cross-promotion going on as Sweets and Fisher take turns camping out for tickets to the opening on AvatarBones And Avatar in one episode?  It's like Nutella and peanut butter together on toast (try it, it's yummy).  It's also funny and awesome.

Fox has released promo photos and a synopsis for the December 3rd episode and you can check them out below.  Also, take a peek at the promo photos for the November 19th episode, where Booth's grandfather makes an appearance.  Then it's a week's break until the December 3rd episode.

Dracula The Un-dead (Book Review)

29 October 2009 7:45 AM, PDT | Fangoria | See recent Fangoria news »

He is, without a doubt, the most famous vampire (yes, even more famous than Edward from the Twilight franchise). His villainy is legendary and his story inspired centuries of sequels in both books and movie form. Spawned from the genius of Bram Stoker, Dracula gave readers the original figure who started the bloodsucker craze. Now, in 2009, an actual descendant of the Stoker line is bringing Vlad the Impaler back to life.

Dracula The Un-dead (out now in hardcover from Dutton) was written by Dacre Stoker (Bram’s great-grandnephew) and Dracula historian Ian Holt. Equipped with Bram’s personal notes and thorough research, they have turned out a novel that is definitely worthy of sitting on the shelf beside the 1897 classic.

Told from several perspectives (as was the original), Dracula The Un-dead re-introduces readers to favorite characters like Mina Murray/Harker, Jonathan Harker, Dr. Jack Seward, Arthur Holmwood and Abraham Van Helsing. »

Scenes We Love: Renfield in 'Dracula'

12 October 2009 9:32 AM, PDT | Cinematical | See recent Cinematical news »

It's really hard not to love seeing Tom Waits onscreen, but his role as Renfield in the Francis Ford Coppola's 1992 version of Dracula is a highlight. The movie itself is a sentimental favorite as well, with its super-saturated colors and heaving Victorian bosoms and, of course, Gary Oldman, who transforms from Eastern European sexpot to razor-blade licking undead creep with a bouffant and back again. Also, he has this bed that half-naked lady vampires pop out of.

Renfield is in an appropriately dingy Victorian asylum, where people who handle the inmates wear cages on their heads. Just in case. In Coppola's version, Renfield previously held Jonathan Harker's position before he went mad, or was driven mad by his boss' demands. Now he snacks on bugs and worms and wears a pair of most excellent and inexplicable articulated sort of hand braces that's oh so steampunk.

Synopsis & Promo Photos – Bones 5.05 "A Night at the Bones Museum"

6 October 2009 8:33 AM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Bones goes formal for episode 4×05 "A Night at the Bones Museum", airing October 15th.  We've got another murder connected to the Jeffersonian (such a dangerous place to work, if you ask me) and Brennan goes on a date with someone else connected to Booth (not his brother, but it'll probably get to him).  Check out the synopsis and promo photos below, courtesy of Fox.

Brennan And Booth’S Latest Case Could Change History

Brennan and Booth are called to investigate what appears to be human remains on an electrical fence. The mysterious corpse is later determined to be a mummified Egyptian royal on loan to the Jeffersonian. The anthropological mystery has Brennan in a tizzy, when the Jeffersonian curator prepping the mummy for exhibition is murdered, the team suspects foul play. Brennan’s investigation of the curator sheds new light on the life of the Egyptian royal, turning their case into one of historic proportions. »

The book is also scheduled to be adapted for the screen, but there's not much movement on that front just yet. For a bit more check out Ian Holt's blog.
