Poor and unattractive Polly Gordon ( Marie Prevost ), is taken to the college dance by eligible Vincent DePuyster ( Vernon Snively ) only as part of a fraternity initiation. Suitors flock to her, however, when she inherits half a million dollars from her aunt, but she grows cynical and dismisses them. Her friend Mary ( Helen Harris ), now married to Dr. Hardy ( R. Henry Guy ), suggests a retreat to the mountains, there she meets author Artemis Alger ( Harry Myers ), who is seeking to escape from women. After an initial clash, Alger comes to love her but finds a rival in young DePuyster. After further complications, Dr. Hardy and Mary arrive in a storm, and matters are soon cleared up.
This 1921 silent comedy/romance was directed by King Baggot and produced by the Universal Film Manufacturing Company, starring popular silent screen actress, Marie Prevost. The status of this film is listed as unknown, sadly suggesting it may now be a lost silent.
