The Little 'Fraid Lady (1920) --- Unknown ?
2 July 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Nicknamed the little lady scared (the little 'fraid lady) Cecelia Carne ( Mae Marsh ), because she feels uncomfortable around people, preferring to seek solitude in the forest. One day by chance she enters the property of Judge Peter Carteret ( Herbert Prior ), where she meets Saxton Graves ( Charles Meredith ), who is currently decorating the house of the judge. Saxton quickly falls in love with Cecelia, but then she learns that the Judge is about to try a case in which Giron ( Tully Marshall ), a bootlegger is involved. Giron is her father and he threatens to tell Saxton he is her father, unless she persuades the judge to abandon the murder trial. But when Giron, realizing he is about to be imprisoned, he kills himself, freeing his daughter to marry Saxton.

This 1920 drama was based on the novel, The Girl Who Lived in the Woods by Marjorie Benton. the film adaptation was produced and released by the Robertson-Cole Pictures Corporation and starred popular actress, Mae Marsh. It's whereabouts now remain listed as unknown, one hopes a copy survives and resurfaces.
