The Land of Hope (1921) - Lost ?
25 March 2016 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

On her voyage to the United States, Marya Nisko ( Alice Brady ) falls in love with another Polish immigrant, Sascha Rabinoff ( Jason Robards Sr. ). Arriving and discovering her sister's poverty, she fails as a lady's maid and then arranges an introduction to a theatrical manager, though Sascha is opposed to her becoming a professional dancer. She obtains an engagement through Stephen Ross ( Laurence Wheat ), who arranges for her training. Meanwhile, unable to pursue his education and reduced to the breadline, Sascha attracts the attention of a wealthy philanthropist, Josef Marinoff ( Fuller Mellish ), who takes an interest in his idea for a home for immigrants, and through Marinoff's aid he and Marya are reunited.

This 1921 silent drama/romance was produced by the Realart Pictures Corporation and starred Alice Brady. My search for The Land of Hope finds it listed as a lost film. All I can provide the reader is this brief synopsis, hopefully a copy does survive and resurfaces for public viewing and a proper review.
