Herbert Parker ( Tom Mix ), college athlete and rancher, arrives from the East to take over his Arizona ranch and discovers that Luke Bramley ( George Hernandez ), owner of an adjoining ranch, is contesting the rights to a valuable watering spot. Smitten with Loretta Bramley ( Ora Carew ), Parker accepts a job on Bramley's ranch and makes an enemy of Tex Marole ( Sid Jordan ), the Bramley foreman, who plans to kidnap the girl with aid of desperadoes. A battle ensues between Parker's men and the gang, the former employing automobiles to attack the villains. When Tex is about to gain his ends, Parker, with the aid of a lasso and car, and Bramley, dropping dynamite from an airplane, manage to rout the outlaws. Parker invites Bramley to live with him and weds Bramley's daughter.
This 1921 silent western/drama was based on the short story "After His Own Heart" by William Wallace Cook, produced by the Fox Film Corporation and starred the popular silent actor Tom Mix. The survival status of this film is listed as unknown, sadly suggesting it may now be lost.
