Young Penny ( Bessie Love ) arrives by airplane in the neighbourhood of the Kingdon ranch. Due to suspicious behaviour, Penny is put in jail, but the deputy sheriff and foreman of the ranch, Kurt Walters ( Wheeler Oakman ) recognizes her as a girl his friend Jo met in Chicago who confessed to being a thief. Upon entering the cell to talk with her, he finds a visitor and asks her to leave, he takes Penny, who has promised to go straight, to live with Mrs. Kingdon ( Lizette Thorne ) Penny begins to tease him and muddles up his life with her escapades. But he continues to fall more and more in love with her. Meanwhile, a crisis develops when a mysterious stranger and the other girl who was in Penny's cell arrive. Soon it is revealed that Penny is not a thief but a motion picture star hiding from a manager who wants to renew her contract. But Penny prefers the ranch life over the silver screen, and remains with Kurt.
This light comedy starring the popular actress Bessie Love, sadly remains a lost silent film.
