Character actor Michael Shannon has been nominated for his second Oscar for his role in the 2016 thriller Nocturnal Animals. "No Small Parts" takes a look at some of the other characters he's played in the past.

This is Buster's best short. The attempt to construct a home with rigged and mislabeled pieces is nothing short of brilliant.
Metro's 1921 release includes an early premonition of the classic open window falling over Buster, painting "Welcome" upside down in reverse mirror camera image, the hand of modesty when his bathing wife loses the soap, the house revolving in the hurricane as Buster and guests whirl through it and the amazing final train track joke.
Kino's print includes a score utilizing bells, organ and piano.
This is a great silent comedy and a must for all Keaton fans. It makes a good double bill with THE BOAT in that in both Keaton valiantly carries on in an impossible situation with a piece of man made creation.
