I was lucky enough to go with some of my school chums to an independent cinema arts center one night when this band, Devil Music, was performing the soundtrack that they had wrote for The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. The band of three guys, a Drummer, a Violinist and a Bass player, was rather amazing. I walked away with character’s themes stuck in my head, and I’ve been yearning to see the movie with the new accompaniment again ever since.

All I’m saying is that the performance was electric, and that this already brilliant movie was brought to life in a very engaging and accessible way. I was wondering if anyone else had seen the band on tour, and if they had any comments to add.

Also, I believe that a new DVD version of the film will hopefully be out soon with the Devil Music track added in. If you can find it anywhere I strongly encourage you to buy it.
