Gloria Swanson and Bebe Daniels
30 October 2001 | by (London, England) – See all my reviews

Now that Swanson was DeMille's leading lady, Cecil had his eye on Bebe Daniels from the Harold Lloyd short films. He decided to enlist her skills in his next project, 'Male and Female', and put her alongside Gloria Swanson. In DeMille's early films, they did not belong in his canon, but in the canon of his stars like Gloria Swanson, Bebe Daniels and Mary Pickford.
