Warning: Spoilers
Ruthless cattle baron Saul Chadron ( Alfred Allen ) is irritated by homesteaders who are intruding on his domain and hires outlaws to drive them away. The leader of the homesteaders, Alan MacDonald ( Monroe Salisbury ) learns that vicious Mark Thorne ( Sam De Grasse ) has been hired to kill him. Alan has a deep affection for Frances Landcrafe ( Helen Jerome Eddy ) a visitor at the Charon range, and despite the danger, he attends a masquerade held in her honor. Meanwhile, Thorne claims he has killed Alan and demands payment from Chadron, and when the cattle baron refuses, the outlaw kidnaps Chadron's daughter Nola ( Betty Schade ). Alan rescues her, but Chadron is plagued by new trouble when the townspeople, angered over the murder of a child, decide to hang him. Alan intervenes, but Thorne, just before his own murder, shoots Chadron. Alan is then free to turn his attention to Frances and his land claim.

This western/drama was produced by the Universal Film Manufacturing Company and released on July 20, 1918. It now sadly remains a lost silent film.
