Highly melodramatic and far-fetched plot

This is one of those plots that has everything in it but the kitchen sink. An orphan in Africa unwittingly marries an abusive man, falls in love with and gets pregnant by an amnesiac, runs away and becomes a novelist. The original film was 8 reels but the only surviving material is a two-reel condensation of the second half of the film which is housed at the Library of Congress. The above information was gleaned from Greta de Groat's web site on the star, Norma Talmadge.
