Storyline

While he is studying in Paris, Julian Rolfe discovers that his fiancee Claire is a prostitute. Julian returns to America with a broken heart. Time heals his wounds and eventually he marries the gentle Margaret Hughes. Philip, a friend of Julian's, marries Claire and later commits suicide because of her. The circumstances of Philip's suicide are mysterious, and Claire casts suspicion for her husband's death on Julian. Trying to clear her husband, Margaret gains Claire's friendship by passing herself off as a fellow adventuress, elicits a confession and obtains Julian's release from jail. Written by Pamela Short
