Thrown to the Lions (1916) - Lost Film ?
21 January 2015 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Cabaret entertainer, Linnie Carter ( Mary Fuller ) struggles to remain innocent in the midst of the fast life. Gangster Harry Sullivan ( Joseph W. Girard ) becomes attentive to Linnie and asks her to marry him, the young girl excepts believing that his intentions are genuine. When Linnie's friend Irma ( Finita De Sopia ) learns Harry has no intentions of marrying Linnie and that Linnie is in danger, she rescues her from a phony marriage ceremony and forces her to face the truth about the gangster. Linnie meets district attorney Bryce, ( Augustus Phillips ) and they become engaged, but when Harry lies to Bryce about his relationship with Linnie just before mobsters gun him down, Bryce calls off the wedding. Broken-hearted and alone, Linnie turns to Billy Wood, who plays a clown in a cabaret act, realizing that he is the only true love she has ever known.

This 1916 silent drama starring the lovely and popular actress Mary Fuller, is now considered a lost film.
