Storyline

Dwight Warren, a wealthy American girl, is fascinated by Michael Balsic, a dashing Montenegran nobleman. She goes alone to Montenegro to marry him, but upon her arrival, she is captured by Stefan Balsac, the brother of her fiancée. Stefan takes her to his castle, treats her to the greatest respect but forces her to marry him. It's a marriage in name only and Delight is puzzled as to why. Novel Adaptation
29 November 2001 | by (London, England) – See all my reviews

In the year when Charles Chaplin signed up with Essanay Films to write, direct and act in his own two reelers, Cecil B. DeMille adapted the novel, 'The Unafraid', into a feature film at the age of 35. It is akin to writing a PhD (novel) and then doing a Post Doctorate (screenplay adaptation).
