A "Lost" film.

Marie Dressler brought her stage hit "TILLIE'S NIGHTMARE" to the screen in 1914 as her first film- retitled TILLIE'S PUNCTURED ROMANCE, it has the distinction of being the first feature length comedy ever made and boasts a quartet of silent comedic talent - Dressler, Mack Swain, Mabel Normand and Charlie Chaplin.

Dressler followed this hit with two other "Tillies." The third - TILLIE WAKES UP - survives. However the second, TILLIE'S TOMATO SURPRISE is a lost film. No negative or positive elements are known to have survived.
