Blurry Print Makes It Hard to Evaluate
7 March 2005 | by (Ohio) – See all my reviews

The blurry print makes "Never Again" hard to evaluate. The story itself is a fairly familiar one, though with enough action and story developments to keep it moving.

Tom Mix stars as a man on the run, after an unfortunate series of events has led to him being wanted by the sheriff, who is also his sweetheart's brother. There are a number of letters and telegrams that form part of the plot, and unfortunately the print as it survives is too blurry to read more than an occasional word of them. At times, it is also hard to see the expressions on the characters' faces.

Most of Tom Mix's early short features were pretty good light entertainment, and it seems likely that this one was too, when it was possible to see and read the details. All that you can really pick up now is the main story line, which does still have enough to make it watchable by itself.
