In the year that Charles Chaplin made his screen debut with the Keystone Film Company in 'Making A Living' on the 9th February 1914, Oliver Hardy (known as Babe Hardy) was earning a living by acting in one reelers such as 'The Female Cop'. He would have to wait until 1927 when he teamed up with Stan Laurel in the classic silent short film, 'You're Darn Tootin', before he would receive the same level of fame as Chaplin.
