Five Little Maids from School
11 September 2016 | by (New York City) – See all my reviews

Scampish schoolgirls bring an organ grinder (that's a barrel organ, you foul minded scamp!) into the sacred precincts, and alarm old-maid schoolmarm Flora Flinch in this charming little split-reel comedy from Vitagraph.

If your idea of high-school comedy includes cliques and junior-grade snobbery, supervised by seen-it-all staff, this is not a comedy for you. In fact, it is pretty naive, even for the standards of its period, but when you have five pretty Vitagraph starlets beaming and capering about in delight, it's pretty much a given that you don't need much else for a few minutes.

If you wish to see for yourself, there's a handsome copy on the Eye Institute site on Youtube.
