- Fernand Gravey and Danielle Darrieux arrive in Hollywood; the Ritz Brothers achieve immortality, leaving their footprints in cement at Grauman's Chinese Theatre; a premiere at the Carthay Circle Theatre brings out Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Barbara Stanwyck, Franchot Tone, Joan Crawford, and many others.
- Alphonse and his wife Zulma hold the 421, a tavern in the outskirts of Lille, in the North of France. It is always full of regulars who play cards there and drink gin and exchange words in ch'timi, the local patois. But there has been trouble lately: felonies have been committed in the surroundings. So who can be those two strangers who have just rented a room each at the 421? Each sets about doing a bit of detective work...
- A young man with no solid income is rejected by a wealthy industrialist when he dares to ask for his daughter's hand. After 20 yeas he has become a wealthy financier in America; he returns to his homeland and starts to track down the girl of his dreams.
- Prominent scientists Dr. William Beebe ('William Beebe') and Otis Barton (Otis Barton), using the Bathyspere invented by Barton, descend several thousand feet to the ocean floor off of the shores of Bermuda to study and film sea creatures seen and filmed at that depth for the first time. A sometimes staged semi-documentary that was often sold and advertised as an exploitation/horror picture.
- Ellory Bugs has offered a huge donation to his old alma mater, Taylor Tech, which is to be paid only if his son, Jimmie "Doodle" Bugs, becomes a football hero. But "Doodle" tips the scales at 143 pounds and is more interested in the band than the football team. Janice Martin, daughter of the college president, is the great thing in "Doodle's" life, but she despises him and has eyes only for Mickey Wells, the school football star. "Doodle" is consoled by Professor Minorous, of the Greek Mythology department who tells him that the gods will solve all of his problems, and starts right in to make communications with these worthies by means of countless and meaningless blackboard equations.
- Donogh O'Connor is an Irish singer making good in London who, at a banquet, expresses the desire to return to the little village, Ballyvoraine, where he was born. Two of his friends, owning an airplane, gratify his desire by kidnapping him and depositing him on a moor near his birthplace. Thus, begins the adventure of the middle-aged Irish gentleman with his London-acquired manners and his full-dress suit contrasting with the humble clothes of the villagers. He forms a friendship with a pretty, young colleen, Moira Flaherty, and aids her in reforming her sweetheart, Sean Casey, who has joined a gang illegally distilling whiskey. The gang is led by an American gangster, Mike Finnegan, who has also returned to his boyhood home. The two old-sod homeboys vie for control of the hearts and minds of the villagers, with O'Connor having the distinct advantage of being able to sing the old Irish ballads.

- Buster West and Tom Patricola deliver a wax model to Madame LaTour's fashion show, and decide to help the models who are having trouble with the director, who is going to fire them because they won't date him. So they introduce the dummy to the director as "The Princess" and use ventriloquism and motions to make him believe she is real.

- Ace newsreel cameraman is working in a mythical European country when the king is assassinated. He gets his negatives out of the country and finds the young crown prince who is also in danger.
- The impoverished Lord Cavender (Claude Humbert) woos a phony heiress, Mabel Van Morgan (Gina Malo), only to find that his secretary Mary (Winifred Shotter), whom he really loves, is a genuine heiress. His Lordship does quickly and truly regret.

- Scrappy, the city slicker, goes to visit his country cousin. Scrappy is a practical joker and carries an electrical buzzer in his hand, and water-squirting bouquets in his button hole. But his country cousin is not as dumb as Scrappy thinks, and some of Scrappy's jokes backfire on him.
- During the Irish Civil War in 1922, a family earns a big inheritance. They start leading a rich life, forgetting what the most important values are.
- In a small village there are two doctors - one professional and one quack. Dr. Bergman has to see the number of his patients dwindle, as they seem to prefer the traditional medication of the quack doctor, Rasmus Thomsen. Rasmus' son Erik graduates from medical school and returns to the village. While Rasmus and Dr. Bergman become enemies, Erik falls in love with Dr. Bergman's daughter Birgit.
- In the 1830s, Mexico is torn by warfare; its rightful aristocratic rulers are trying to wrest it back from its conquerors. The efforts are in vain as the rebels, headed by the bandit, Captain Lugo, ravage the countryside, burning, looting, spreading terror and death. But....HOPE lives again as a new leader rises, with a song of victory on his lips. He is "El Gato"--champion of the oppressed, unmerciful to those without mercy...and ruthless in his determination to rid his native land of her spoilers.
- A half brother and sister work at a hotel in Hakone respectively as a porter and a souvenir shop clerk. They are close. One day a woman named Hasegawa checks into the hotel in order to recuperate in a calm environment with fresh air. She is the mother of the store employee. The mother and daughter were separated due to the Kanto earthquake. The girl was practically raised by her older half brother.
- Puddy goes to a circus where he watches the various acts, but misinterprets Apaché dancing canines as an assault on the girl. He beats up the boy. Incredibly, everyone cheers this egregious bit of audience participation.
- Unable to pay her notes, Ann Bradford, owner of the Circle C, decides to auction off a half-interest in her ranch. Matt Stark, a crooked land dealer, holds Ann's notes. His efforts to buy the ranch have been refused and his instructs his henchman, Barlow, and his other henchmen to make certain that nobody bids on the ranch. Clint Buckley rides into town on the day of the auction, overhears Stark's instructions to his henchies, and decides to attend the sale. Barlow attempts to intimidate him, they fight, Buckley wins and his bid of $25,000 wins him a half-interest in the Circle C. But, Stark, isn't finished yet in his efforts to get the ranch, especially since a couple of his hirelings are on the Circle C payroll.
- Carla de Hulvea is a rumba dancer who makes news by posing as a South-American heiress. She is doing fine with her hoax until she meets American Peter Jackson, a high-pressure promoter who is looking for movie-producing money. He does some big-time bluffing on his own in order to get Carla to invest in a film he is making with his partner, Roy Harley. Through Carla, Roy meets actress Diana West, who is given a role in the movie, and Roy falls in love with her. Before Carla and Peter have finished outsmarting each other, there is a merry mix-up which involves Roy, Diana and Otto Schultz. Everything works out when the film is finally completed and, due to a new color-process, the film is booked by a major theatre-circuit, enabling the independent production to pay off.
- Mrs. O'Leary's cow is brought to the witness stand in court to explain how she started a great fire. Her testimony fades into a very routine fire brigade cartoon.It has little to do with the Chicago conflagration she's famous for.
- Just before the young Anna is about to marry lighthouse-keeper Holmstrand, she meets Norwegian sailor John.

- Billy Brannigan, a mechanic, has some difficulties and problems when he gets mixed up with the police looking for a jewel thief. An identical suitcase used by Billy and the thief cause most of the troubles.
