- Nanninella, a young girl, is exploited and abused by her father, whom she maintains with her waitress salary.
- Bobby is introduced to "She" as America's greatest bullfighter. Mexico's greatest bullfighter obligingly fixes up a fight for Bobby, whose earnest attempts to vamoose the country are foiled by Mexican and American soldiers at the border. A fake bull is obtained and Bobby enters the ring with confidence and pep. A real bull makes its appearance, and while Bobby is proving himself a better runner than a fighter, the Mexican maid falls into the arms of his rival. The bull then considerately removes Bobby from the vicinity and shoves him across the border into Texas, where Bobby said he had killed so many bulls "that all the calves in Texas are orphans."
- A will decrees that the girl must marry a distant cousin she hasn't met. She revolts and fixes herself up like an old maid to discourage him, only to discover that he is an extremely likable chap. When he leaves in disgust, she pursues him. Having seen her only as a bespectacled vamp, for protection he acquires a "wife" in the person of a cowboy on his ranch. Then he falls in love with her, but the cowboys won't let up on the joke until a fight reveals the "wife" as most masculine.
- An old man, with many branches to his family tree, attempts to make the quarrelsome crew live in harmony by promising them his money if they will all build houses on the same plot of ground and live peacefully for one year. Not having room on the lot, one family takes to the air, hitching its home to a balloon. This creates a disturbing element by reason of the things that fall overboard. But when the year is up, and there has been a reasonable amount of peace, the old man starts to divide his fortune, but is mistaken by all the heirs except one for a "faker," and the lucky one is rewarded with the entire estate.
- A lieutenant plants a baby on a retired captain to promote his romance with a neighbour's niece.
- The grocer's boy is in love with the farmer's daughter and they would have eloped had it not been for her father and his shotgun. At night the boy dreams that he is the hero of "The Three Musketeers." The sets are changed to represent medieval France, the costumes match the period, and in the dream the girl becomes the beautiful princess who is being forced to marry the bad man. The hero then rides to the rescue, and after fighting a whole army of soldiers and cavaliers. he rescues the girl--and then he wakes up. The next night the real fun begins. The grocer's boy and his three friends dress themselves as Musketeers and attack the farmer's house. After an unsuccessful attempt, the girl is finally rescued.

- In return for money and medical aid for his invalid mother, struggling author Robert Sandell agrees to subject himself to experiments by Dr. Lamb, who claims he is trying to extend the human lifespan. Despite warnings from the doctor's wife and a hunchbacked assistant, Robert allows himself to be strapped to an operating table, whereupon he learns the true nature of the surgeon's experiments: To prove the theory of evolution by devolving his human subjects into an approximation of their simian ancestors. However, before Dr. Lamb can proceed, the hunchback un-cages another victim, an ape-man, who crushes Dr. Lamb to death.
- As soon as they are married, a couple embark upon a sea trip. The happy bride has brought along a present for her husband in the form of a bottle of liquor. She tells him to go into the cabin and get his present. In the meantime the lady in the next cabin kisses her baby goodbye and places it on the bed in the newlyweds' room. Hubby is very much surprised to find that his present is a baby and rushing back to his bride inquires how long she has been hiding it. "One year," she replies. Just as hubby is about to throw the child overboard the mother of the baby receives a wireless saying the sufficient funds await her at San Francisco. Of course she wants her baby back. The rest of this amusing comedy deals with the bottle of whiskey and a prohibition officer who happens to be on board.

- Gretchen Ann (Gladys Walton) runs away from her foster parents and is sheltered first by train brakeman Bill Kelley (William Robert Daly), then by elderly oilman Pete Sebastian (Edward Jobson). After Gretchen Ann keeps Sebastian from being duped by a medium, he sends her to a fashionable school, asking that she agree to marry him when she returns. She accepts the condition, but Sebastian releases her from the commitment when he realizes that she loves John Kelley.
- A man and his horse ride into the peaceful hamlet of a western valley. The town gambler coaxes the master of the horse into a little game of poker which he wins by helping himself to the aces concealed in his boot. Sally, the clever horse, sees this from the window and brings some choice cards to his master's hand. This starts the fight which would certainly have ended badly for the stranger had not his horse Sally entered the saloon and cleaned out the entire gang of roughnecks.
- Wealthy Mary Fenton is the subject of a lawsuit, and she is temporarily denied access to her money. Circumstances result in her being forced to pose as Mary Cosgrove, an heiress living in the Walford mansion. Matters take a turn for the worse when the real Mary Cosgrove shows up, discovers Mary Fenton's impersonation of her, and demands that she be arrested.

- In India an engineer blackmails a girl over her gambling brother and is killed by a python.
- Jimmie, the Messenger Boy, is in love. He tells the other messengers that he is going to see his girl. But he lacks the price of a box of candy, so contrives to steal it. He surprises the girl with the candy and she surprises him with a big dog. The dog, playful, chases Jimmie several blocks and finally trees him, tearing his pants. The girl calls the dog off but accuses Jimmie of mistreating her pet. Quite conscious of the conditions of his pants, Jimmie tries to hide the rip. Several girls giggle. Back at the messenger office a woman phones the manager for "the most reliable messenger." The boss sends Jimmie, torn pants and all. The woman has a dog for Jimmie to deliver on another street. They start out; the dog leads Jimmie a merry chase, almost gets in a fight with his girl's dog, and finally walks into a dog show where she is awarded the blue ribbon. Complications follow but Jimmie finally manages to sooth things over; he gives the blue ribbon to "the best in the burg" - his girl, and all ends well.

- Kane is very much interested in a new sweetheart who is a professional skater. His old girl goes over to the enemy's camp and spurs on the rival by telling him that Kane insulted her. The fighter can hardly wait for the day set for the battle, but attacks Kane on the ice in Central Park. During the fight Kane is folded but refuses to accept the decision and goes on to a finish. He knocks out his opponent, but falls down from fatigue. The referee starts counting both fighters out, but reaching "nine" finds Kane recovered and upon his feet. The two girls then enter the ring and proceed to finish the battle.
- Rodney Marvin hears a vague account of a dispute between Mayor Gorham and Matt Hayward from Hayward's daughter, Virginia. She is employed by her father on his paper the Gazette, a sworn enemy to the Mayor. Rodney outwits the Mayor and buys from him a note that would have endangered the fortune of the Gazette. Rodney realizes that the only remedy for the situation is to get the two men to shake hands and be friends. He gets himself a job as partner to Hayward and then in a puzzling series of maneuvers accomplishes his purpose. He almost loses all his friends, including Virginia, in the process, but his final victory makes him a hero In the eyes of all.
- Living in Cuba with her parents and grandmother, Inez Hastings, does not care for Lavendera, her persistent suitor. Contrary to her father's wishes, she attends a cockfight and makes the acquaintance of Rush Thompson, a United States revenue officer assigned to track down Cuban bootleggers. Their romance awakens the jealousy of Lavendera, who attempts to kill Rush. Joshua Hastings, Inez' father, who with Lavendera heads the bootlegging operation, sends his daughter to Hiram Proudfoot, his American agent in Massachusetts and leader of the Purity League; Rush and José follow. The latter persuades Inez that Rush suspects her father of smuggling and is using her to spy on him, and she betrays Rush into their hands. When the smugglers are surprised by revenue agents in Boston, José absconds with Rush and Inez aboard his schooner; following a fight between Rush and Lavendera in which the suitor is killed, a sub-chaser arrives in time to save Rush and Inez.
- Nick Carter is hired by a rich man to verify his suspicions that the young man that is paying his daughter attentions is deceiving her. It is discovered that the boy is being lured by society crooks into blackmail.
- Mrs. H. Jerome Browne, wife of a wealthy American, sends her daughter, Elizabeth, to a boarding school and goes to England to "find" a family tree, a title, and some heirlooms to go with them. Lady Dysart, widow of Lord Dysart, sells the heirlooms of the Dysart castle to obtain money to send her son, Cecil, to America so that he may marry well. Cecil and Elizabeth meet and are about to marry when Richard Jones, the real heir to the Dysart title masquerading as a journalist, intercepts the elopement and reveals Cecil, Lady Dysart's son from a former marriage, to be an impostor.
- Roy is a golf champion who has never held a club in his hands. But having told everyone what a great player he is, the time arrives when he is forced to make good.
- Interrupting the marital troubles of a man whose wife's cooking was not conducive to longevity, comes Jimmie Adams in the role of a book agent. His call is unwelcome and the housewife first calls the poodle dog, then the bull dog. The latter puts the book agent on the run. Two policemen take up the chase and all scamper through a field where straw is heaped in piles and the pursued endeavors to hide, without much success. There is considerable action without humor in the first reel. The second has something to do with the title, since it takes place in a "scout " camp and ends in a swamp, where there are splashes of action, again without humor.
- First the hero rescues the girl from a runaway. Then by a clever trick he saves her brother from being hung as a horse thief. Then comes the false note that lures away the girl and brings her to the evil hotel. Here she is locked in a room. Just before she is attacked and brutalized, the hero arrives and again saves her. But now he must fight the whole gang - and he does. One by one he crashes them through the balcony railing; and one by one, as they come back again, he hurls them down the stairs. Then the sheriffs arrive and the whole crew are arrested. The last shot of the picture silhouettes the hero and the girl against the setting sun, and while her father turns his back you imagine the rest.

- A young married couple go to the big city to spend their honeymoon. The young farmer thinks that he can become rick quick by investing his money in some oil stocks. In the meantime his wife grows lonely and decides to take a trip to heaven. "Trip to Heaven" is the name of a scenic railway. When hubby returns home without his money he finds the note and proceeds to try to kill himself. He tries shooting, hanging, gas and other methods of destruction, but fails in each. In the end he finds his wife, his money is recovered and the crooks are captured by the police.
