Jack enters a few minutes later and she takes him for the plumber, as he happens to have a monkey wrench in his hand. Jack realizes that he can have some fun and allows Dolly to show him the radiator, which he repairs. She also decides as long as he is there he can fix the pipes of the sink. Fred discovers Jack at his task and at jack's request, decides to keep the joke up. Fred's folks are giving a dance and they send Fred's old chum an invitation. At the affair he is introduced to Dolly, who realizes the mistake she has made, but before the evening is over Jack and Dolly are engaged, Fred coming upon the scene with the lucky monkey wrench.
