- After her sex offender husband gets caught in the act and kills himself, an embittered pregnant widow loses her child, and embarks on a mission of vengeance against one of her husband's victims and the woman's family.
- A doctor's wife is the head of a bureau that publishes and hands out literature on birth control. However, the police stop it and forbid her to speak in meetings about the secret that was open to the rich but closed to the poor. She is arrested for holding a meeting anyway, is arrested, but convinces her husband and a judge of the soundness of her beliefs.
- Willard Gryson, a clerk in the employ of the government, leads an ideal home life with his charming wife and his two-months-old son. Tyson Rockwell, a capitalist, and his henchman, needs certain private government reports to put over a big deal, and meeting Gryson one day coming from the government offices, offer him a flattering price for the necessary papers. Gryson at first is firm in his resolution not to be bribed, but finally succumbs to the temptation. His wife accidentally finds the slip of paper telling him, "There is $5,000 waiting for you at a certain hotel. Come and get it." Her woman's intuition warns her that her husband is on the brink of an abyss, so when he is leaving that evening, she takes the government reports from his pocket and, substitutes this little note: "Is the father of our baby going to make us ashamed of him?" Which, when he reads it, brings him to his senses and makes him realize what a narrow escape he had.
- Music video for Black Sabbath's single "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle". The video begins with a man at a carnival watching the rides and a little girl. The band performs on a with Tony Martin singing for the enthusiastic audience.
- After a pram containing Queen Victoria's grandson Prince Alexander accidentally rolls away and nearly collides with the monarch the nursemaid is sacked, creating a vacancy. The child's parents want young, progressive Miss Temple but the queen is in favour of her daughter's old nurse, Mrs. Innocent, an austere, gin-swigging old dragon. The child's father Prince Henry asks Cribb to investigate Mrs. Innocent, currently employed in caring for the 2 children of an eccentric composer, for proof of unsuitability through senility. Cribb investigates and finds that the pram was sabotaged in order to create a vacancy close to the Crown. The two candidates for the nursemaid position come under suspicion.
- The new Australian Ambassador to Ragaan, Katherine Jensen, arrives to find the Embassy in upheaval.
- Ted comes home in the middle of the day and finds Dot absent. She has taken a job in a supermarket and Ted is not impressed when he has to fetch his own breakfast on Saturday morning.
- Roc's (Charles S. Dutton) poker night is interrupted by Eleanor's (Ella Joyce) baby shower.
- Vanessa initiates an investigation into Faye's son Archie emergency hospitalization. Vanessa also introduces Judith Marchand the new surgical wards matron who manages to rub Mark up the wrong way and who recommends to Vanessa that he should be one of the AAU cuts. Elsewhere, Maddy's killer Chantelle Tanner is admitted into AAU where none of the staff want to treat her forcing Judith to deal with her where she finds that she is 16 weeks pregnant and has been kicked around by her vicious boyfriend. Archie's nurse Judith dropped his medicine labels and mixed them up with medicine meant for Chantelle and these were fed into Archie's saline drip.
- Vanessa continues her investigation into Faye's son Archie emergency surgery and subsequent sudden death and discovers that Faye changed Archie's bag of saline because Lauren had forgotten to do so, a fact that Lauren was only too pleased to pass on when she found out that Ric and Connie were trying to cover it up. This ended in Vanessa suspending Ric, Connie and Faye whilst the investigation continued. Meanwhile, Maria tried to get Chantelle Tanner to confess to the murder of Maddy which she denied but it was Mark that managed to get a confession after blackmailing her with threats to care worker Adam Bowden who was also the father of her baby.

- As Jodie is examined by the paramedics, Gina finds Dean and tells him what's happening. He tells her he will find Frank whilst she goes and tells Don, who is commentating with Sky. Lee scores against Arsenal just as Dean and Frank arrive at the hospital. Don gets the message and Gina tells him Jodie knows he was behind the Frank story, and that Curtis was the only other one who knew. She adds that was the moment Jodie fell ill, before Gina walks away disgusted. At half time Viv sends Scott to fetch Frank so he can be put on to continue Harchester's good form, and he returns to tell Viv that Frank has gone because Jodie has miscarried. At the hospital Frank is told that Jodie has lost the baby and is fine, at least physically, so Frank goes in to be with her.
