- A battle ensues among groups of government spy teams in an underground facility after their boss is assassinated.
- Mystery drama of a detective who finds himself in trouble when he turns in the direction of a beautiful girl who is trying to commit suicide.
- Reporter Patsy Reynolds (Robin Raymond) and photographer Eddie Porter (Frank Jenks) are assigned to interview John Foster (Davison Clark), head of the Emmerson Foundation regarding a listening device the organization is working on. Foster evades them and they go to the lab to see Professor Reynolds (H. B. Warner), the real inventor. Soon, they are involved in several shootings, blueprints that change hands several times, a corpse in their car that appears and disappears a few times, the loss of their jobs and several people who either think they are killers or candidates for being killed.
- Its pre-civil war days and Bull McQuade is trying to keep Kansas from becomming a free state. He controls the town of Tiburon, a haven for wanted outlaws. One of the wanted men is Bill Hickok and Marshal Tex Martin comes to get him. Later when Hickok saves Tex's life, the two join up and return to Tiburon to try and bring in McQuade and his gang.

- The police bring in a woman for her mugshot.
- The story opens in a hotel room. Timothy is broke. Jeff is washing Timothy's handkerchiefs and putting them on the window in dry. Timothy goes forward again determined to succeed. At the studio through a ruse he manages to elude the Cerberus at the gate and enters. He watches a set story of the underworld, and etc., and sees a director taking a stupid extra man through a part. He has a brilliant idea; he goes and uses his last dollar to bribe a man. Timothy returns to the scene where the director sits discouraged. Timothy wanders on, and the man he has bribed comes up and says, "Mr. Dobbs, I haven't had the pleasure of your marvelous performance as a crook in that underworld play." Timothy smiles indifferently, but the director hears, the plan works and Timothy is engaged to play the stupid actor's part. Looking for a location they go to the worst section of the town, where police work in pairs, and proceed to take scenes. It is by accident that Timothy is wearing the makeup that resembles the Eel, notorious safe-breaker and murderer, and is recognized by a crook who spreads the news to all, including Maggie, the Eel's "Moll." Naturally, when Timothy, on the outside of the Dive, enters, during a scene he cannot understand why they all fall on his neck and drag him to the back room. His attempts to escape are all in vain. They insist on hiding him in the retreat. Meanwhile, the director, thoroughly disgusted, leaves the scene. Then, in a skirmish, the makeup is rubbed off of Timothy's face and they see that he is not the Eel, but believe that he is a spy or a detective. They fight him and it is only the interference of the police that stops them.

A policeman and keepers follow the escaping criminal, and after a very lively chase, they catch him and bring him back to prison.
