Jinx Sister is a 'growing of age' story, a meditation on how the past affects the present. It deals with sibling rivalry, loss, our need for intimacy and the stories we spin that imprison us if we let them.

They are arrested and accused of robbing Stalton's house and the bank, but Arthur is cleared by Sam, the Negro janitor, who exposes Richard Twing as the culprit. Arthur is freed and is happily reunited with his fiancée.
