Later by campfire, Marcus disappears while going to the bathroom. At first livid at what she believes is a cruel joke, then genuinely frightened. - "City Boys Backcountry Adventures" (2016, short film), written by Stella Constance. It is a story of community building, as ordinary individuals get caught up in times of extraordinary circumstances, that tests their choices of who they will become. This impactful tale begins as two young brothers from the city, Will and Peter embark on an adventure in the backcountry, meeting mysterious people along the way, as they unlock the secrets hidden in the woods. The boys stumble across a legend of peril and a valuable item, hidden in the forest. The younger brother, Peter, meets a girl who goes missing shortly after their close encounter with a predatorial entity. The brothers and a local teen resident are then forced to make a life altering decision: whether to walk away from the girl's dilemma, like what others have done in the nearby local community with past cases, or to get involved to save her -- to do what is good and right - for the protection of themselves and their communities. In a world, where there are no bystanders, the boys' decision transforms them into what they must face becoming: heroes or victims.

Tune in as we follow their every waking moment, experiencing their struggles and personal triumphs as these 12 adventurers confront the most extreme forces of nature. Taking place in the Wind River mountain range of western Wyoming, this season will include mountaineering, multi-pitch rock climbing, peak ascents, dangerous river crossings, Tyrolean traverses, glissading, ice and glacier climbing, hypothermia training and fly fishing

- To pivot off of the ease and accessibility we featured in episode 1, episode 2 goes the opposite direction and shows Cal and Miles embarking on a deep backcountry winter expedition requiring tracked Can-Ams and thousands of pounds of gear. Cal and Miles explore a high mountain Montana lake that Cal's been wanting to fish for two decades, in the hopes of catching a large, or at least respectable, burbot. Cal and Miles discover less than optimal conditions, but work through and figure it out. They manage to catch a variety of fish, cook some delicious burbot, and try out fried burbot liver.
