In the second season, Safiya gives birth to a boy named Mohamed Ali; she runs a textile business. Cheikh Tehifa tries to intervene by magic on Hadda's behavior so that she separates from Othman and marries him. The latter is upset by Othman who forgets to contact her for a long time. Fatma becomes jealous of Raoudha, a journalist who tries to seduce Ahmed. After the death of his grandfather, Ahmed wants to sell all his properties but his mother is irritated. Elies, a young man and cousin of Safiya, spends Ramadan with the Tammars during which he steals items from the house and conducts illegal operations in the textile company of Safiya, for the benefit of Lamine, a businessman who buys the most important monuments of the suburb and does his best to buy the coffee of Slouma and his cousin Néjia. Néjia refuses the offer and experiences problems with his cousin. Lamine also wants to buy the house of Baya, an old and bourgeois house; Baya, who has infertility problems, accepts to have children. Director Nick Karner follows Thomas and his crew of friends, misfits, weirdos, and the Cavalcade of Perversion over a tumultuous three-day period. The performance is cancelled twice, the promotional flyers are rejected and torn down, and most of the props and costumes for the performance are created on the day of the show. While attempting to pull the show together, Thomas realizes that his freedom of speech and expression has been challenged. The films becomes an allegory about censorship, and he continues to argue with the owners of the night club all the way to the opening night, where the show is a triumphant success and Babs Johnson's swan song.

- Babs Marvin loves David Darrow, a young lawyer. Babs' father, the powerful Senator Marvin, is supporting Eben Sprague for a seat in the State Legislature. Darrow discovers that Sprague is a crook and threatens to expose the candidate unless the senator agrees to switch his support to him. Babs opposes Darrow's decision, fearing that it will ruin his promising law career. Determined to defeat Darrow, she promotes the candidacy of the village pauper, Hank Dawes, and contrives an elaborate campaign based upon the slogan that Dawes' election would remove him from the welfare rolls. Dawes wins the election, but Darrow is consoled with Babs's love and the senator's support of his law career.
