- A wife is waiting for her fun-loving husband to return from a club masquerade. The husband returns home with two companions who set up a diversion to transform the wife's wrath into compassion. She becomes aware of the joke and, rolling pin in hand, suggests that the friends leave her alone with her husband.
- A farm woman's two sons leave home to earn money to prevent a foreclosure. Algy goes to the city, and the other son goes to a mining camp. Algy gets a job as a bank guard, but accidentally locks the bank president in the safe, thinking he's a bank robber. The foreclosure is delayed long enough for the other son to return home from the mines with the news that he has struck it rich and can pay off the mortgage.
- The hero, a young contractor, is mistaken by the heroine for a laborer, while he thinks she is the maid although she is the daughter of the manor. The hero continues to represent himself as a laborer in order to see the maid. The daughter, in order to continue her impersonation, borrows the maid's clothes. At the end the two main characters are brought together in their true light with the blessing of their respective mothers.
- A maid is setting the dining table. She leaves and a messenger brings a suit in, puts it over the back of a chair and leaves. A tramp enters and starts to put food from the table into a pack, but he sees the suit and decides to wear it. He steps behind a screen, removes his tattered garments and drapes them over the screen. The maid returns and removes both the new suit and the tramp's clothing, and the screen. The tramp is seen wearing a barrel as the police escort him from the room.
- A dressmaker is examining the fit of a dress of a female customer. The customer removes her dress for alteration, and remains in front of the mirror while scantily clad. A messenger boy enters, frightening away the customer. He is promptly ousted from the dressmaker's establishment for his impertinence.
- A man dressed as an old woman is sitting at a small table and being served a dish of food by a waiter. During the course of the meal, the food is heavily seasoned with Tabasco, so that the woman gasps for breath. The waiter helpfully squirts soda water from a bottle into the woman's open mouth.
- A man dressed as a waiter brings a plate of food to a woman seated at a table in a restaurant. The woman tastes the food, indicates it lacks something and the waiter leaves to get it. He returns with a bottle of Tabasco sauce which the woman shakes vigorously over her food. After sampling the concoction, it is evident from her facial expression that she has made a terrible mistake, and the film ends with the waiter squirting seltzer water in her mouth.
- The film begins and ends on the same scene: a close-up of the bare legs, from below the knee to the feet, of a woman who is apparently lying on a beach mat or blanket. The action shows a trick bird or an insect of some kind constantly flying around the legs and causing them to cross and uncross steadily during the film.
- A whimsical farm girl writes a message on an egg that finds its way to a city restaurant where it is served to a young man. Intrigued, the young man sets out to locate the message-writer. He makes the long and arduous trip by train to the country and confronts the young woman, who, much to his dismay, doubles up her fists and hits him. The next scene shows the young man boarding a train, and the young woman on her knees beseeching him to return to her.
- Two small boys have constructed a device over a fence camouflaged by a poster. A rose is painted on the poster as well as the words "The Automatic Weather Prophet." Three people are intrigued by the sign. One is a large fat man who attempts to catch the two boys but is unable to get through the narrow slot in the fence. The other two men also receive red paint through a squirt mechanism behind the rose as well as a punch in the nose from a boxing glove on a pole
- The action takes place in front of a set constructed of canvas painted to resemble the boudoir of a young woman. As the first scene begins, a young lady is sitting on the edge of a bed, while another is at a sewing machine. The door opens and another young lady in pajamas comes in. She borrows something in a bottle and walks out. As soon as she is off camera, the two young girls take a toilet water bottle from a dressing table, fill it full of ink and put it back. The door of set opens and the same pajama-clad girl returns, picks up the bottle of toilet water to shake on herself. The ink comes out all over her pajama front. The scene ends as she leaves in anger.
- The action takes place in front of a set constructed of canvas painted to resemble the boudoir of a young woman. The first scene begins with one young woman sitting on a bed while another is sitting at a table. The door opens and a third young woman enters. She borrows something in a bottle and walks out. The two young girls take a bottle from a dressing table, fill it with ink and replace it. The door opens and the other girl returns, picks up the bottle and sprays it on herself. The ink squirts in her face and scene ends as she leaves the set in anger.
- On a set of a living room, an old man, his head bandaged, is sitting in a chair. A white-haired man enters and sits opposite him. Their conversation is depicted by the use of balloon cartoons on the wall, and one word at a time appears in a balloon. The friend suggests placing an ad for a nurse, which the old man does. The remainder of the film shows a large group of women answering the ad, and the frightened old man running off, with the entire group in close pursuit. Two finally catch and drag him home. The following scenes show him attempting to escape by various means, but he is caught every time and brought back home. Finally, his friend arrives, and the old man leaves him to cope with the two nurses.
