Mira is a young woman who lives alone while her husband works abroad. She prefers to stay at home and doesn't go out a lot- all of her friends even know that she only goes to three places: the public market, the church and her house. She misses her husband a lot and worries about being alone, especially after witnessing a brutal murder at the public market. However, things change after she meets Kiko and his partner Glenda, a couple who lost their home due to their demolition. She allows the two to stay and rent the empty bungalow next door after he gave her a helping hand from a snatcher who tried to steal her purse. As days pass by, she gets attracted to him, and the same can be said about him, much to Glenda's chagrin. Little did Mira know is that he and his wife are part of a gang who plans to steal from the nearby pawnshop, and they've plotted the whole thing. But Kiko wants to keep Mira out of their plans as much as possible, causing a rift between him, Glenda and their gang.
