- Ajit Singh and his younger brother, Ranjeet Singh's marred childhood days forces them to form a gang of bandits. When Ranjeet meets Aasha Sinha he is attracted to her and decides to onus himself from the gang much to the displeasure of his brother and right-hand man, Saru. Ranjeet then re-locates to the city to lead a common man's life with Aasha only to find himself arrested, convicted and imprisoned. Sarju then forcibly takes over as leader of the den of bandits abducting Aasha and holding Ajit as hostages until such time Ranjeet is able to make a compromise. Ranjeet then seeks the assistance of the police but they would only help him conditionally forcing him to escape from prison to free the hostages as well as even scores with Sarju.
- Shortly after independence India faces terrorists attacks in Assam, resulting in many deaths and casualties. A group of concerned citizens then decide to do something to stop this carnage.

- A man (Amitabh Bachchan) is found wounded on railway tracks and when he awakens he has no memory of who he is and doesn't remember anything about his life. Six years later he is living with a wealthy couple and is now named Naresh Dutt. One day he begins to regain his memory when he watches a film and realizes that the actress in the film is related to him somehow. It is then that he discovers the actress in the film is none other than his wife Rekha Roy (Rekha). He finds out that she is now a very successful film actress changing her name to Sunita Devi and her manager is none other than Ranjeet Malik (Prem Chopra) who used to be his best friend. In flashbacks he remembers that his real name is Amit Roy and Ranjit was the one who attempted to kill him six years earlier by throwing him off the train he was traveling on with Rekha. Amit also discovers that his young son who is now 10 years old has been sent to a boarding school and sets out a plan to regain custody of his son. First however he plans on taking revenge against Ranjit. Amit comes up with a plan to re-enter Rekha and Ranjit's lives by disguising himself as a film producer. He meets with Rekha and Ranjit and offers Rekha the opportunity to act in his new film titled Do Anjaane. Rekha and Ranjit grow suspicious of Naresh Dutt as they start to realize that he bears a striking resemblance to Rekha's supposedly deceased husband Amit Roy and the storyline of his film eerily mirrors Rekha's past life. Will she discover the true identity of Naresh Dutt? and what revenge has Amit/Naresh got planned for Ranjit?
- Hardworking, capable, honest and dedicated CBI inspector Shyam Kumar is assigned the case of bringing to justice the criminals behind the use of fake cheques to purchase commodities. The major draw-back in this case is that the perpetrators try the best possible ways to eliminate all evidences of this crime. As Shyam get down to the bottom he will find that this case gets more difficult as some people are not who they claim they are.

- The movie belongs to Bindu. Handsome , good looking Anil Dhawan takes employment under big boss Pradeep Kumar. Among his other duties, he also has to make his boss's daughter Neetu Singh fall in love with him. Pradeep's second wife Man-eater Bindu herself is young and pretty . Once she sets eyes on Anil , she wants him for herself. From here starts a game between the three. Bindu looks very glam in her body hugging satin slit dresses. Neetu singh is cute as a button in her minis and knee high boots. Anil seduces the camera , the audience , every one else .. .. along with Bindu and Neetu . He is a great eye candy . A couple of sizzling hummable songs are thrown in . Veteran Pradeep Kumar is good as the unsuspecting husband and caring father. In the end, Bindu redeems herself and donates her eyes ( while dying ) to Anil's blind sister Vidya Sinha ( in a small role ) . The movie is a delight to watch . It remains with you for a long time after it has ended.
- Dr Rekha admits a patient, Sunil, in her mental hospital and soon, he responds to the treatment and recovers. They fall in love with each other but everything is not as it seems to be.

- A young doctor returning from abroad is stranded in a village when his plane develops trouble and crashes. He meets and falls in love with a beautiful local village girl, who happens to be the daughter of his blind host. The villagers don't look kindly on this, especially one particular young man who was courting the girl himself. He hatches a plot to drive the doctor out of the village, defiling the girl's character in the process. The lovers are separated and a misleading event has the doctor believing that his sweetheart is dead, and he resigns himself to a loveless marriage and a dejected life. Meanwhile, the girl loses her father in a fire and sets out in search of her lover.

- Deep Sharma lives a very poor lifestyle with his widowed mom, Radha, and a younger brother, Ashok, who he would like to become a Judge. Then he is asked to write stories about an imaginary bandit, Sangram Singh, which he agrees to do so under the pen name of his friend, Jani Babu. Shortly thereafter he gets very popular, so much so that his girlfriend, Lajwanti's dad, the former King Maheshwari Prasad, consents to let him marry his daughter. Then things get complicated when a bandit who calls himself Sangram Singh goes on a crime-spree throughout the region. The Police launch a man-hunt and their investigations take them to Jani Babu, and after questioning him, they find out that the writer is Deep. Before they could arrest Deep, Maheshwari is killed in his home, and the Police are notified that Deep is the killer - and the witness identifying Deep as the killer is none other than Lajwanti herself. The questions that come to mind are did Deep really kill Maheshwari; and has he been living a double life?
- Teja's family consists of himself, his wife, Sita, his brother, Shanker, and a son, Sunder. They all live happily. Things take a turn for the worse, when Sita passes away. Teja decides to re-marry, and he does so with Sonia, who comes to live with him at his palatial home with her brother, Laxmidas, with a devious agenda of taking over his property. Soon misunderstandings arise, and Shanker is asked to leave the house. Eventually these misunderstanding involve Sunder, who also is asked to leave the house by Teja, who thinks that his brother and son are consipiring against his newly-wedded wife. Years later, Sunder has grown up to be a conman, and Shanker a black-marketeer. Both Sunder and Shankar meet without knowing each other's identity, and a confrontation takes place. When they realize they are related, they decide to expose Sonia, and open Teja's eyes, not knowing that Teja is completely blinded by Sonia's love, and will not let anyone to come between them.
- Asha lives a poor lifestyle along with her widowed dad, is in love with aspiring doctor Raj Kumar, and hopes to marry him someday. When Raj announces that he is traveling abroad to study, she decides to wait for him, but her father, on his deathbed, makes her promise to marry Simla-based Gopal Chopra, who is the son of his friend, Shyamlal, to which Asha agrees. The marriage takes place and soon they become parents of three daughters, Basanti - a tomboy, who excels in self-defense; Barkha an aspiring dancer, and Bulbul who wants to be a professional piano player and is on medication as she has a hole in her heart. Gopal gets a promotion and re-locates to Bombay but continues to remain in touch with his family. Then the past is re-visited when Raj, now a doctor, comes to live in their neighborhood. He meets with Asha, and decides to teach Bulbul piano lessons, while his brother, Advocate Anand, romances Basanti. Their idyllic lives are shattered when Raj is arrested for killing a man named Mangatram who was blackmailing Asha for hiding a secret from the rest of her family.

- Adil (Premnath) is a dashing, brave young man, full of hope and mindful of the rights of all people, especially the downtrodden. It is this last attribute that ends up putting him in the bad books of the Emperor (Ulhas). The Emperor orders his arrest. But before the soldiers can arrest Adil, he single-handedly rescues the Emperor's bethrothed from a lion. This earns him the gratitude of beautiful Queen-to-be, Juhi (Purnima). The Emperor, pleased with Adil, gives him an important assignment in his army, and promises that Adil's fellow-villagers will not face oppression, taxes or forced labour from his army. Ruhi (Bina Rai) loves Adil, but Adil is unaware of this. Juhi is impressed by Adil and this impression turns to love, and she tells Adil about this. Adil does not think it appropriate for a bethrothed to be his lover and wife, and spurns her. Angered Juhi starts to plot against Adil, by getting the emperor to collect taxes and forced labour from Adil's village. This angers Adil, who goes to confront the emperor and the queen-to-be. Angered, the Emperor dismisses Adil, and orders his arrest. Adil flees to the hills. Numerous attempts by the emperor's armies to apprehend Adil are in vain. Finally, Juhi tells the emperor that she will bring in Adil without spilling a drop of blood. Will Ruhi succeed where so many have failed?
- An impoverished male turns to crime, kills someone, tries to make a honest living but ends up becoming a suspect for theft.
- Chand lives in a small rural town in India. He is unable to pay the rent, and his landlord evicts him. He re-locates to another town and meets with a young woman named Tara. Both are attracted to each other. Chand is unable to secure employment in this town, and moves elsewhere. Tara waits for several months, but does not hear anything from him. So she decides to go and look for him, hoping to re-kindle her love. She is shocked and surprised to find him with an attractive woman named Rajni, who claims that Chand is her betrothed and both are to get married soon.
- Sapna (Sharmila Tagore), flying back to India from the USA, is involved in an airplane engine "flameout". She loves poetry, in particular the work of a poet called Ujjwala. Unable to distinguish between the poet and the poetry, she sets out on a journey to meet the poet in a place called Phulwari. Sapna believes that Ujjwala is her dream man. Her wealthy father, worried by her distraction consults a psychiatrist who pronounces that Sapna needs treatment and must be sent to his clinic for an extended period of time. Running away from home, in a beautiful red MG TF (probably a 1954 model) she comes across Sunil (Shashi Kapoor) working on his Jeep (one of the early right-hand drive versions that Mahindras produced). A couple of accidents later they find themselves in a luxurious Mercedes Benz tour coach (possibly an O 321 H - with a rear engine) and their journey of exploration begins. Faced with obstacles, raised by greedy people who want to get the informant's reward announced by Sapna's father Randhir Singh Chauhan; and going through some comic as well as dangerous interludes the screen couple arrive at the climax on their way to Phulwari. Sunil is doing his best to escort Sapna to Phulwari. How Sapna reconciles her love for Ujjwala, who she has only met through his poetry and Sunil's unreciprocated love for her makes for an interesting denouement.
- An Indianized version of the Sherwood Forest legend. King is away, the jaagirdar is a wimp and his henchman loots the poor. Our hero steals from the tyrant and helps the poor and repressed. On a romantic sideline, he courts the jagirdar's beautiful daughter, who is also being wooed by the evil henchman.

- Widower Amar leads a middle-class lifestyle in Bombay with his widowed mom and his daughter Munni, whose mother died 3 days after her birth. Amar works as the Principal of Bharti Kala Kendra. When he goes on vacation to Kashmir with his butler D'Souza, he meets with and falls in love with a woman named Kalpana and includes her in his painting. Drawn to each other, they meet several times. The day that Amar goes to propose, he discovers that she has left for an unknown destination. When he returns home by train, he meets another young woman, Asha, and hires her as the Kendra's Dance Instructress. He takes her home to meet his mom and Munni; both approve of her and hope she'll marry Amar. Then Amar watches Kalpana dancing in the theater; he meets with her and they rekindle their romance. Asha notices this and steps away, heartbroken. Amar asks Kalpana to come meet his mother and Munni, which she does; during this meeting, they get an unexpected visitor: Kalpana's brother Johar. The truth about Kalpana, her mom, and their background is revealed, changing everyone's lives forever.
- Raj Kumar is a wealthy businessman and dislikes everything ugly. When his wife, Kamla, becomes pregnant and gives birth to an ugly son, he asks the attending Dr. Mathur to inform his wife that their child was still-born. Dr. Mathur places the child in the hands of Rahmat and his wife, Naseeban, who welcome him with open arms. But misfortune follows them, as the child, who is named Pyare, accidentally burns their dwelling down, killing Naseeban. Rahmat then re-locates to his village when he teaches Pyare the skills required to play musical instruments and sing. Years later, Rahmat passes away, and informs Pyare that he is really a Hindu. Dr. Mathur fills the rest of the blanks for Pyare, and arranges a song and dance play and hopes that Raj will overcome his dislike for his now-grown son. But that does not happen, instead, Raj offers to pay some compensation so that Pyare can look after himself. When Pyare goes to Raj to return the money, Kamla sees him and asks him not to leave and adopts him as her son. Then misfortune visits the Raj family when their other son, Sudhir, is abducted and held for ransom for 4 Lakh rupees. Sudhir's fiancée believes that Pyare is behind this abduction. Will misfortune and tragedy also follow Pyare to his new-found family?
- A lethal attack is made on Madan's life by hitting him by a car. His life is saved thereafter but he becomes blind. In his state of blindness, he starts getting a feeling that Indira is no longer the loving, caring, selfless Indira known to him prior to the accident.

ONE DAY BADE AND CHOTE GOT THE COURT'S ORDER TO PAY A TOTAL OF 50 LAKHS IN A SPAN OF SIX MONTHS FOR THEIR FATHER'S PROPERTY FAILING WHICH THE MONEY WOULD GO TO A CHARITABLE TRUST. HOW DO BADE AND CHOTE RETRIEVE THE MONEY?
- Yogita reminds us of Rekha in many scenes. She is a pretty adolescent daughter of a middle class family. She has a continued affair for a short time with her own Gardner starting on a stormy night. He dies suddenly in a freak accident leaving her emotionally scarred. This is carried by her for a long time. She refuses to befriend or marry any man . She meets many men like Sujit Kumar who try to exploit her after befriending her. Anil Dhawan , her psychiatrist slowly understands her and supports her. They marry in the end after over coming all problems. Yogita is perfect as the innocent gullible college girl. Anil is likable in any role , as a confused lover, as a confident psychiatrist - even when he is sizzling , dancing , prancing with his former girl friends by a roaring fire side. Kabir Bedi with his great height and figure is aptly cast in his small role as the Gardner. he has no dialogues but speaks with his eyes . Over all , a very relevant movie even today .

- Randhir and Ranvir Verma are twins. Randhir is straightforward, while Ranvir is a petty criminal. These petty thefts add up, and soon the police arrest Ranvir, and he is sentenced to prison. In prison, Ranvir incurs the wrath of a gangster, Tony, and is killed. Randhir undertakes to find the killer, and gets himself arrested, and imprisoned to get to see who the killer is. After getting out from prison, Randhir plans to avenge his brother's death, without knowing that he himself could endanger his very life, as well the life of his girlfriend, Mala. The song "Chandni chand se hoti hai, sitaron se nahin, pyar bhi ek se hota hai hazaron se nahin..." is still popular.
