- After his family is murdered by a notorious and ruthless bandit, a former police officer enlists the services of two outlaws to capture the bandit.
- Vijay struggles as a dockworker and eventually becomes a leading figure of the underworld, while his younger brother Ravi is an educated, upright policeman. This divide causes problems in their relationship.

Ironically Poppy's business has developed into cocaine over the years whereby Shera and all Poppy's hostages are forced to work as slaves. In order to rescue Shera and to avenge the death of his dad at an appropriate time Rakesh is forced to work for Poppy Singh by gaining his trust and by enlisting himself as a member of the gang.
- Julie is an Anglo-Indian girl with a loving, but alcoholic father and a domineering mother, a younger brother and sister. Julie's mother doesn't want the marriage either, as she and the rest of the family want to go to England.

However, when the opposing party conducts a rally to disparage and humiliate Aarti Devi, When she gets there, she informs the populace and voters of her decision to leave her husband and family in order to serve this nation's citizens. The public respects her and is deeply moved by her voice and selflessness. J.K. arrives there as well and offers her support; she is overjoyed and moves on. She is elected and goes on to have a fulfilling life.

After this ceremony, the people around Renuka start showing their true colors, and after an open-palmed stinging slap from Aarti, Renuka realizes that her place in this house is now worse than that of a lowly servant. Renuka now finds out that Aarti, Gopinath, and Rakesh are not who they claim to be, but will this realization be enough to reverse the order of events, or does fate have something even worse in store for Renuka?

Kanta passes away, while Dharam is left in the care of a wrestler, Bhim Singh, and a mid-wife, Ganga. Dharam is taught to be a hoodlum, but wants to focus on becoming a singer, while Ranjit has taken to alcohol, gambling, and a life of crime under J.K. himself. After his discharge, Shankar finds to his delight out that Ashok has brought up Ranjit and both are stage actors. Then his world descends into chaos when he finds out that Ranjit is in fact Dharam, while his very son, Ranjit has taken to a life of crime. Angered at Dharam, he beats him up and asks him to be a hoodlum like himself, he also beats up Ranjit and asks him to obey Ashok and follow in his footsteps. Watch as things spiral out of control when a vengeful J.K. abducts Shankar and holds him hostage - the ransom - the dead body of Ashok - at any and all costs - and the person chosen to carry out this task is none other than Dharam!!

Kumar and his wife and other son have long belived that their other son was dead. Bhola and Sharmii stumble upon a manuscript for a book titled 'Chori Mera Kaam' during one of their robbery excursions belonging to Mr. John's former partner in crime which they sell to a shady publisher, named Parvin Bhai, which becomes a nationwide best seller. But it attracts unwanted attention from the police, the local mob, and the original writer himself.

- After losing his two younger brothers on a mountain climbing expedition, Vijay (Sunil Dutt) swears to his sorrowing mother (Achala Sachdev) that he will never undertake any expedition again. - This is the story of two brothers and a father. Jyoti gets Arun a job at her dad's (Pinchoo Kapoor) Diwan Pratap chand's hotel. Here Arun meets with a hotel waiter who tells him that his mother is still alive. Arun is shocked to note this and asks his mother to accompany him to confront his father. Was Arun's father really that cold-hearted to let go of his wife, and keep this secret from his sons?
- Shankarlal's dying wife asks his younger brother, Chandrashekhar, to marry an orphan named Laxmi, to which Chandrashekhar reluctantly agrees. They do get married, and soon have three children, a girl and two boys. Chandrashekhar's elder brother, Madhu, triumphantly returns home as the local District Collector, & marries wealthy Chamanlal's daughter, Shobha, while Ravi is romancing his beautiful neighbor, Neelu. Things look pretty good for this family, when the mill where Chandrashekhar is employed with goes on strike. The mill-owner sells the mill to Rani Padmavati, who first of all wants Chandrashekhar to be fired before she can even consider the workers' demands. The workers go on an indefinite hunger strike until Chandrashekhar decides to quit his job and re-locates to the city to look for work. In the meantime, misunderstandings crop up between Shobha and the rest of the family, and she and Madhu leave the house to live with Chamanlal. Chandrashekhar is unable to find any employment as Rani Padmavati refuses to give him a reference and on the contrary uses her influence to ensure that he never gets employed. Crestfallen and defeated, Chandrashekhar returns home to find out that the Rani had colluded with the local money-lenders and has taken over their land and property. Then the police arrest Chandrashekhar on the complaint filed by the Rani on the charge of stealing from his former employer. On the verge of losing her ill son, Laxmi, now penniless, must now find out why Rani Padmavati has taken it upon herself to ruin this family,
- Muthu is an 18-year-old simpleton who works in a small village. He is sexually harassed by his landlord's sister, a widow. Unable to bear it any longer, Muthu goes to Madras. However, he is again harassed in a similar way by people whom he meets. He finds work at a hotel as a room boy where he meets Maragadham, a prostitute. He then rescues her once from a raid. After he saves her, she develops a soft spot towards him. He lives in Maragadham's house as a servant but later is thrown away from her home. In the end Muthu gets affected by an STD and is shown in a hospital being treated by a doctor and eventually dies.

Vishal proposes to Sonia and she accepts, however, fate has some other plans for them - for Sonia is none other than the step-daughter of Aruna - and neither Vishal nor Aruna may want this marriage alliance to succeed.
- Ajay Verma is a major in the Indian army, and is principled, dedicated, and honest. His family has arranged his marriage with beautiful Sheetal, and both are to be married soon.
