- The murder of a young girl is never solved. Her mother who is torn by grief puts a curse on the four of the girl's classmates. These four girls are forced into adulthood which eventually triggers a tragic chain of events.

Ken Igarashi has had a grudge against Tetsu for a long time.

Captain Kuhio approaches the woman one day and strikes up a conversation. Kuhio notes that Haru's job requires her to give tours to little kids and he doesn't think she likes kids. Their conversation leaves Haru confused, but Kuhio does have her attention. Meanwhile, Michiko Sado (Yuko Nakamura) is the #1 hostess of Ginza and she is perhaps the only one able to give Captain Kuhio a run for his money .

In addition to selling books, this bookstore, owned by Yamaki, provides a service of reading aloud to customers. Although he is unsure of his new surroundings, Kenta follows their actions and starts to work in his new part-time job.

As Kenji helps Miyuki with the composition of her paintings, she captivates his heart. He is drawn to her single-mindedness and charm like a foreigner. Miyuki also grows to like Kenji who tries to give her dedicated support. However, she has a past that is difficult to erase and tell anyone about. Kenji learns about this and is disturbed. But a letter sent to Kenji from Miyuki through Kurashiki's special post called "Anniversary Letter", begins to change the future for the two of them as they shed their pasts and start new lives.
