- Just one week removed from the historic 3 Hour 100th Episode of WCW Monday Nitro Spectacular, World Championship Wrestling and the New World Order head Road Wild in Sturgis, SD. This time, WCW has the wheels turning and the momentum on their side against the nWo. On the 100th Nitro, "The Total Package" Lex Luger shocked the world be defeating Hollywood Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and bringing the belt back home. When Nitro left airwaves last week, Luger and WCW were celebrating, while the nWo was in total disarray. At Road Wild, Luger will defend the belt against the man he took the belt from five days earlier, Hollywood Hogan. That wasn't the only bad news for the nWo that came out of the 100th Nitro. The financial benefactor for the nWo, Ted DiBiase, re-emerged after a brief absence but only to resign from the nWo and align himself with the Steiner Brothers. Now, the Steiners are challenging the Outsiders at Road Wild for the WCW Tag Team Championship with the Outsiders' former manager in their corner! Syxx and "Nature Boy" Ric Flair have been battling for months now, but it's time for them to finally face each other in the ring, one on one. Can Flair stand for the tradition of World Championship Wrestling and take care of the nWo punk, or will he fall victim to Syxx's Buzzkiller? Curt Hennig and Diamond Dallas Page were supposed to be partners, going into WCW Bash at the Beach, but something went wrong. Now the former teammates will battle in Sturgis. All of that action plus much more will occur in Sturgis as World Championship Wrestling presents Road Wild 1997.

- This video features highlights of some of the matches from the Third Annual Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup tag team tournament. The tournament took place from April 22-April 23, 1988. Most of the matches of this large tournament are left out, and a lot of the matches are edited pretty short to fit on a two hour tape. Teams included on the tape are The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal), The Midnight Express (Eaton and Lane), The Four Horsemen (Anderson and Blanchard), The Fantastics (Rogers and Fulton), Lex Luger and Sting, The Jive Tones (Whatley and Conway), Ivan Koloff and Dick Murdoch, Larry Zbyszko and Al Perez, The Varsity Club (Rotunda and Steiner), The Powers of Pain (Warlord and Barbarian), Jimmy Valiant and Mighty Wilbur, The Sheepherders (Miller and Williams), Kendall Windham and The Italian Stallion, and Ron Simmons and Steve Williams. I won't tell the matches as that will give away the winners (since this was a single elimination tournament). Other matches on the card are NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair vs Nikita Koloff, The Midnight Rider (Dusty Rhodes) vs J.J. Dillon in a bloody Texas Bullrope Match, and Jimmy Garvin vs Kevin Sullivan in a Prince of Darkness Death Match (both wrestlers had hoods over their heads and couldn't see). Finally, the tape goes back to January 24, 1988 for the finals of the Third Annual Bunkhouse Stampede. Battle royales had been held at several house shows in the weeks leading up to this event, and the winners of each battle royale entered this battle royale final, held inside a steel cage. The match is joined in progress on the tape, so I don't know if some wrestlers had already been eliminated. The wrestlers on the tape are Arn Anderson, Road Warrior Animal, The Barbarian, Tully Blanchard, Ivan Koloff, Lex Luger, The Warlord, and the winner of the first two Bunkhouse Stampedes, Dusty Rhodes.
- Against an army of shadows, lies the dark warrior, the prevailer of good, with a voice of silence, and a mission of justice. This is Sting. The battle between good and evil cast a dark shadow over his soul, but through all transformations, one man remained the lone symbol of an era. Sting became "The Franchise" of WCW almost instantly when he arrived and carried the company's banner through to its final match in 2001. Whether casting his piercing war cry into the sky, or descending from it with somber, stone faced determination, Sting captivated sports-entertainment fans from all walks of life. Now, celebrate The Icon with this collection of matches and moments guaranteed to strike fear into the black hearts of all evildoers.
- Turner Sports President, Dr. Harvey Schiller recently removed Eric Bischoff as the President of WCW. A move that has swayed the balance of power back to WCW in the war with the nWo. In the midst of all of the chaos with Bischoff's ousting, a main event of epic proportions was named for the upcoming WCW Uncensored 1997 event. A three team battle royal elimination match. Three teams with three different agendas and goals. Team WCW consists of Lex Luger, The Giant, and The Steiner Brothers. If Team WCW wins, the nWo must return all of the WCW Championships they have and will be forced off of WCW Television for 18 months. Team Piper consists of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and 4 Horsemen members: Jeff Jarrett, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, and Jeff Jarrett. If Team Piper wins, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper gets Hollywood Hogan in a cage match. Team nWo consists of Hollywood Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Randy "Macho Man" Savage. If Team nWo wins, the nWo gets the right to challenge for any WCW Championship anytime they choose. While Bischoff's removal from power was a negative for the New World Order, they aren't letting that stop them by announcing that NBA Bad Boy, Dennis Rodman would appear at WCW Uncensored as the newest member of the nWo. The stakes are high, only one team can survive! Which will it be and what will "Rod the Bod" do?
