- The celebrity pilgrims set off on the final stretch of their journey towards Rome. Emotions run high when they receive an extraordinary invitation from the Vatican.

The lad is rubbish, though. About to break the bad news to Derek, Charlie realises the awful truth from something the dooorman says - Derek must be the hotel thief. Rebecca must maintain her professional stance and hand Derek his P45. The anguish doesn't end there, despite Tony's good work in heading-off ball-crunching auditor Ms Merchant with some well-placed bribes. A disgruntled hotel guest surprises everyone by revealing himself to be a hotel inspector - and issuing a damning threat!

- When Abuela Elena leaves town for a few days, she entrusts an eager Maya with the care and feeding of her prized roses. Unfortunately, while Maya's heart is in the right place, she is too eager to get Abuela's roses growing quickly. Miguel, meanwhile, wants to become a wrestler and begins taking lessons from Gus "El Guamazo" Lopez, former luchador. But instead of getting an exciting luchador costume and learning show-wrestling moves, Gus teaches Miguel the actual principles of wrestling (which often, to Miguel's horror, resemble baking in Gus' bakery). As Maya slowly destroys Abuela's roses, Miguel gets frustrated with the slow pace of his training and quits. But when Maya's overzealousness in the garden leads to a flood of over-watering, Miguel hops into action, using the moves taught to him by Gus Lopez to overcome the flood. In the end, both Maya and Miguel learn the value of patience and consistency - in gardening, wrestling and life.
- Andy gets a role in a pantomime, starring opposite British TV presenter Les Dennis. As Dennis begins to approach a breakdown, Maggie gets to know the pantomime director's daughter, who appears to have had her life greatly warped by her parents.

- Having admitted that he exploited his diminutive clients in the past, Warwick finally comes good for them before receiving a visit from 'Willow' co-star Val Kilmer, anxious to make a sequel. However, he tells Warwick that he must provide some of the funding, so Warwick persuades Les Dennis, Keith Chegwin and Shaun Williamson to do a series of pub gigs to get the finance. They are a huge hit and at the investors' meeting Warwick secures his capital. Agents Gervais and Merchant are wary and ask Warwick to consider why a potential blockbuster needs private money while factions appear in the comeback trio, requiring the intervention of spiritual guide Bryan Medici. As Warwick realises that Val may well have cheated him, there is at least huge reassurance in the solidarity which now exists with his clients.
- Festivities take a back seat as DI Parker investigates the murder of a podcaster. She had been probing the disappearance of a child and claimed to have found new evidence. The missing child has haunted Commissioner Patterson for years.

Consequently, neither Amy nor Cat is very pleased.
- Warwick moves into a new flat--despite locking himself in the bathroom during the viewing--and attends a divorce settlement discussion, though he is alarmed to find that his ex-wife and her lawyer have rather more than a professional relationship. There is more disappointment when he fails to oust the chairman of the Society of People of Short Stature despite a guest appearance from pop band Right Said Fred but can derive some satisfaction from seeing Gervais lose money as a deal with Steve Carell via Skype goes awry.

- The witches bless the baby and give it to a troupe of traveling actors to raise it. Duke Felmet becomes paranoid that a witch will bring about his downfall.

After failing to pull in a club where he pretends to be a racist, he meets an adoring fan in a shop, but offends her by buying condoms. Finally, through the agency that introduced him to his ex-wife, he meets Amy, who is the same size he is, but jeopardises the date by ogling a much taller lady. His attempts to find the perfect religion are equally unfortunate.
- When Duke Felmet secretly assassinates King Verence to become the new king, three good witches Nanny Ogg, Granny Weatherwax and Magrat Garlick serendipitously end up taking care of the real heir - Verence's baby boy.
- The witches go to the castle to see the play and, after realizing that it's nothing but Felmet's propaganda piece, they eventually decide to make its plot more truthful.
