- A soldier wounded in the War (WWI) becomes a producer and stages a show for the forces.
- Lute-Mae becomes the victim of rape at the hands of one of Truro's privileged sons. When Titus is reluctant to investigate the assault, Lute-Mae enlists the help of Sam, Lane, and Tony to expose the young man's violent past. Field is impressed by a recuperating Constance, who persuades Sam to rethink his opinion on a controversial bill sponsored by Field.
- After Constance's jewelry disappears from the Weldon mansion, suspicion falls on Julio. Michael Tyrone escorts Lute-Mae to the racetrack, and she learns that he has earmarked her to manage his new casino resort. Titus has Julio arrested for grand larceny, a move which could expose his affair with Constance. Sam proposes marriage to Lane, but what should be a joyous occasion becomes one of ambivalence when she feels pressured to accept his proposal.
- Following the death of his father, an orphan is sent to live with his free-spirited aunt.
- Constance and Julio take their secret relationship to the next level. Field considers having an affair with reporter Sande Swanson. With Titus up for re-election as sheriff, Elmo decides to take the opportunity to expose Titus' corruption and rid Truro of him once and for all by challenging him in the race.
- Setting a plan in motion to take over the town, Michael Tyrone donates land for the Truro Arts Center and proposes naming it in honor of Field's late father. Alicia dodges Eudora's security to meet with Skipper. Tyrone continues to manipulate Lute-Mae, Constance and Field. Lane adjusts to a life of wealth and respectability as Sam's wife, as the couple moves into a mansion of their own on Flamingo Road.
- In an attempt to uncover damaging information that might drive Lane away from Truro, and out of Field's life forever, Titus bugs the rooms above Lute-Mae's bar. Frank Coyne, Lane's old carny boss, returns to Truro and blackmails her into giving him $5000 in exchange for his silence about a secret from her past. Lute-Mae uncovers Titus's plot.
- Skipper begins an affair with Christie Kovacs, and she's hiding a very rough past. Meanwhile, Constance enters into an alliance with Christie's former boyfriend Tony to break up the relationship. Lane's past returns to haunt her when she learns that one of her former johns, a wealthy businessman, has been killed in a suspicious accident.
- When the newspaper is reluctant to endorse him for state senate, Field's pushed to the breaking point. The Weldons host a lavish election party for family, friends, and the press. During the party, Field arranges to have a moment alone with Lane. Constance spies on Field and Lane as they share a passionate kiss. Later, Constance vows revenge, but her maneuvers backfire.
- Sam rejects an important campaign speech that Field worked feverishly to complete. Feeling the pressure of his political demands and dissatisfaction in his marriage to Constance, Field vanishes just before he's scheduled to appear at Truro's fish fry. After political backers threaten to withdraw their support, Sam intercedes, and Titus sends out a search party. Later, a drunken Field turns up at the fish fry.
- After he and Claude have a highly volatile confrontation about Annabelle's death, an angry Skipper packs his bags and makes plans to leave Truro immediately. Later, a freak accident leaves Claude trapped and seriously injured. Blaming himself for his father's condition, Skipper realizes that he can't leave town until the situation is resolved.
- Dangerous chemicals spill from the Weldon mill and contaminate Sam's construction site, forcing an environmental protection agency to shut down both businesses. Titus leads hit man Slade to Lane. Claude appeals to Field to use his power with the state environmental committee to reopen the mill. Field agrees to help Claude and Sam in exchange for an expedient divorce from Constance. Titus pays Christie to leave Truro and take her secret with her.
- Unaware of Michael Tyrone's manipulation, Field uncovers damning evidence of his late father's dealings with Titus, and the information could lead to Titus' downfall. Alicia reassures Skipper that she loves him regardless of his disability. The reason for Tyrone's agenda in Truro is revealed, along with the shocking true identity of Field's lover Sande Swanson.
- A hospitalized Christie remains unconscious following the accident. Constance discovers the details of the crash and learns that Field and Lane were together afterward. Titus places Christie's hospital room under surveillance to ensure that when she awakens she doesn't leak damaging information about Field. A vengeful Constance commiserates with Sam about Field and Lane, and their anger turns to mutual lust.
- Drug lord Lorca instructs Walker and Terry to murder Field and Constance after the ransom is delivered. During an attempt to overpower his captors, Field is seriously injured. Sam commandeers a helicopter and flies down to the Caribbean to search for the kidnapped honeymooners. Constance uses herself to barter with Nick for Field's life.

Meanwhile, Sam assumes responsibility for Alicia and Julio Sanchez, the adult children of one of his Cuban employees, who dies at the construction site. Field learns the identity of the barrio's slumlord. Julio bristles at Alicia's reliance on Sam. Sam and Titus draw battle lines over their domain.
- Michelle frets about the size of her feet after DJ and Kimmy tease her at the shoe store.
- Skipper pens a series of cautionary editorials against the legalization of gambling in Truro County, inciting the wrath of Titus and Tyrone. Sam and Lane make preparations for their lavish wedding. Elmo refuses to suppress Skipper's editorials, and later an explosion rocks The Clarion offices. Skipper survives the blast, but his injuries leave him blinded.
- Skipper learns that his vision loss might not be temporary. The long and complicated romance between Lane and Sam culminates in a beautiful wedding. Titus decides to frame someone for the explosion at The Clarion and shocks the wedding party when he places one of the guests under arrest for the crime.
- Titus Semple, the corrupt sheriff of steamy Truro, Florida double crosses drug dealer Nick Walker and his partner Terry. Realizing that politician Fielding Carlyle is Titus's Achilles heel, Walker and Terry decide to kidnap Field and his new bride Constance. Field and Constance are abducted and held aboard their honeymoon yacht. Titus and Constance's family the Weldons receive a ransom demand for one million dollars. With the help of Sam Curtis, the family scrambles to arrange the money.
- Christie diverts her attention away from Skipper and attempts to seduce an unhappy Field. Sam moves forward with his plans to marry Lane. Field and Christie are involved in a horrific car crash. After learning about Field's accident, Lane decides to risk ruining her relationship with Sam in order to go to the man she really loves.

A steamy affair ignites between Constance and Julio Sanchez. Lane confides in Lute-Mae about Tony's stealing, but she doesn't receive the reaction she expected.
- Field comes to the realization that Sande has just been using him to feed Michael Tyrone information for his blackmail scheme. Sande recognizes that she has real feelings for Field and doesn't want to continue hurting him. Skipper and Alicia decide to escape complications with his family by eloping. Tyrone uses his power to ensure Field's support in an imminent vote to legalize gambling in Truro.

She yells at him and says that she cant trust him anymore. So when they get home Joey, as Bulwinkle, says that he can help her clean her scrape. She gives in and then it stings and she yells at him again. Becky and Jesse decide to take the twins on their first car ride. A spontaneous one. But after two hours of packing up and getting prepared spontaneous isn't exactly the word to describe their trip.
