- The Whirlybirds rush against time to save three mountain climbers that are trapped by a forest fire.
- A license plate found by P.T. in a river provides evidence that frees a man wrongly convicted of killing his wife.
- A woman hires Chuck and P.T to search for her wealthy missing husband who she fears has met with foul play.
- The Whirlybirds are working for a motion picture company. While on the filming site, P.T. happens to see a man rescue the films star from danger and photographs this event. - A wealthy explorer is conned by a former acquaintance into believing there has been a discovery of an ancient civilization. He hires the Whirlybirds to take them to the location not realizing that he is being set up to be robbed.
- A soldier who was reported MIA suddenly appears three weeks before the legal declaration of his death and attempts to blackmail the wife he left behind. When he finds out he has a son he changes his mind but his partner has other ideas.
- When a plane flown by a veteran pilot disappears on a routine flight, the Whirlybirds are called in to assist in the search over the objections of the plane's co-owner. After discovering the crash site, Chuck and P.T. are disturbed to learn that the plane's controls were tampered with after the crash in an effort to fool the Civil Air Patrol investigators and are baffled when the police report that the pilot was dead before the plane even took off. Lt. Hurst asks the helicopter pilots to assist him to trap the man who actually flew the wrecked aircraft.
- The Whirlybirds are hired to fly a contest winner to her vacation spot when shots are fired at the group from a speeding car during her photoshoot. She tells them that she witnessed a murder a few nights before and she was the target.

Chuck, P.T., and Sister Bridgit search the city and stumble upon a possible robbery that Andy may have committed. They hope they are wrong about Andy but they and the cops scramble to find and capture him.

Rescues include two men trapped on the side of a building with a 1/2 ton sign hanging near them, a man's life is saved when his wife finds him unconscious in his new sauna and the doctors discover he's suffering from Addison's Disease, and a terrified old woman whose apartment building explodes during a gas leak--with John inside, he then suffers a broken foot. While recovering, Dr. Brackett brought along his first surprise for John, the recuperating Dixie, who brought John a cake, while Dr. Early gave John a tape recorder, in honor of (and Roy's) Dixie's birthday.
- After being conned by friends Jim sets them up to settle the score and save himself.
- A sniper on a motorcycle brings fear to a town unable to fight back. It's up to P.T. and Chuck to end his crime spree.
- Whirlybirds ground crew are trying to contact P.T. and Chuck to warn them of imminent danger of a thunder storm. As this is going on reporter Bronson arrives to do a news story on the Whirlybirds business. Chuck and P.T. at this moment are delivering a portable iron lung respirator to a secluded mountain home were a young boy named Tommy is in great need of the respirator to survive. Dangerous winds and lightning, fear of loosing the precious life saving cargo due to the holding straps coming loose, plus a leak in the helicopters gas tank only make things worst for the pilots. To make matters even worst the storm breaks the power line leading to the mountain home and it is up to the Whirlybirds to help a local lineman reconnect the live electric line in time to save young Tommy.
- Chuck and P.T. are hired by Deacon Barrington to fly him over to nearby town of Hartford. When over the town, the Deacon throws out from the copter, paper flyer's to advertise his upcoming talk at the Hartford auditorium. Deacon Barrington's talk is about the evils of gambling. And when some of the flyer's end up in the hands of Fleming and Anders, the people running the gambling casino, they are not too happy at all. Trouble starts for the Deacon when the two men finally meet with the Deacon. They threaten him if he doesn't leave town. Chuck and P.T. decide to stick around and help the Deacon in case any trouble starts. But the Whirybird pilots are in for a surprise when they find out something about the Deacon.
